Skating Club of CNY Board of Directors
June 22, 2011
Meeting beginning at 5:44pm
In attendance: Jen Ferguson, Shelley Kline, Debbi Murray, Michele Wisely, Toni DiPirro, Christina
Auer, Angela Fasoldt, Barb Davis & Liz August
Approval of minutes from May 10 & May 17 2011, Shelley motions, Michele seconds, all approved.
Toni treasurer recap, we have around $8000 right now. This is not our problem time, but we can run
a deficit in November. We are suspending coaching fees for the summer. Coach fees will return in
the fall.
Membership application for 2011-2012 needs to be revised due to increase in USFS fees. We are
also reviewing the requirements of volunteering.
Affiliate membership - must do volunteer hours, they don’t skate in ice show, vote or be part of ice
show.
Increase affiliate membership fee to $75 & the right to able to participate in the ice show for a fee to
be determined at a later date.
Skater’s code of conduct - we will be adding in skater ice etiquette as well as cyber bullying or
negative communication.
Parent code of conduct- cyber bullying will also be added.
Coaches code of conduct, we would like to have it more organized as well as solicitation issues. We
will continue to charge fees in the fall & they will be reminded of their responsibilities & benefits.
We need a meeting next week with the coaches…..7:30pm Wednesday. Response needed.
Learn to Skate director agreement Renee was getting $50 a week/$500 a block. An idea is to give
Kate $25 a week as well as a free 2 blocks of ice per week.
LTS assistant director agreement/Barb Davis – things need to be approved by the board.
