Basic Skills Initiation Program
The Skating Club of CNY is pleased to offer a transitional program for learn to skate students to become familiar with the club setting. This program is offered for a six month period to introduce the skaters to private lessons within "club" ice time. This program is designed to help spark the interest of the child and determine if figure skating is a sport in which s/he want to become more involved. For the duration of six months, The Skating Club of CNY will offer a reduced rate of $7.00 per 45 minute session. During that period, an initiation skater may purchase as much as as s/he wish at the reduced rate. Our staff professionals have also reduced their teaching rate during this period. Your child will have the opportunity to experience rapid progression through the benefits of private, one-on-one instruction available. The teaching rate for a 15 minute lesson will be $8.00 during the initiation. After the program has ended, the coaches will resume charging their regular lesson rate.
At the end of the six month initiation program should the skater wish to continue, the skater must "join the club". As a member of the figure skating club, you will be able to purchase ice at a package rate. The coach that you choose for private lessons will charge his/her standard lesson fee.
